一年一度偉大的母親節即將到來，想好要買什麼禮物給媽媽當作驚喜了嗎?
就是這個周末啦!!  有多久沒回家過節探望媽媽了呢? 或是為人母親的你，看見小孩們返鄉心情是不是無比興奮開心？　
從小到大，表達開心我們第一直覺就是會想說 I’m very happy.

 

‧ thrill  (vt./vi.) 使興奮/激動
‧ thrilled  (adj.) 極為激動的 (多數年輕人愛使用這個字~)

Ex: I am thrilled at the thought of seeing my favorite singer this weekend.
我一想到這周末要見到我最愛的歌手就開心得不得了。

‧ ecstatic (adj.) 欣喜若狂 ( = extremely happy)

Ex: Mom was ecstatic when she heard we have a special gift for her.
媽媽開心極了，當她聽到我們有個特別的禮物要給她。

‧ heaven (n.) 天堂
‧ seven heaven 七重天  
  be in seventh heaven  (口) 太開心!   (有如到了至高無上的極樂世界)

Ex: I felt like I was in heaven when I won a gold medal in the competition.
當我得到這場比賽的金牌時我高興至極。

Ex: Jason was on cloud nine when his wife gave birth to their first baby.
傑森非常開心，當她的妻子生下他們的第一個寶寶時。

‧ stoke (vt./vi.) 添柴加火 (有引申激勵、激發之意)

Ex: Children were so stoked to hear that there’s no school today. 
小孩們很雀躍聽到今天不用去學校上課。

‧ elated (adj.) 得意洋洋的；沾沾自喜的
‧ overjoyed (adj,) 狂喜的；極開心的
  be elated / overjoyed at sth…   對…感到欣喜若狂

Ex: We were elated at the news that our favorite movie star won the award.
對於我們最愛的影星獲獎的消息，我們感到欣喜若狂。

‧ clam (n.) 蛤蜊；蚌

只要在周末能和妻子孩子相處在一起，我就十分開心了。

‧ mud (n.) 泥濘；淤泥

豬喜歡在泥巴裡打滾，對他們來說是一種散熱行為，當然開心啦~

Ex: When on a trip with my besties, I’m happy as a pig in mud.
當我跟閨密們外出旅行時，我感到無比開心的。
