DHL’s Newest Robotic Employee

　　Boston Dynamics, the robotics company most famous for producing the robotic dog Spot, has announced plans to enter the logistics industry. The company announced that global shipping company DHL would employ its pallet-stacking robot. The robot, named Stretch, has a robotic arm that can lift boxes of up to 23 kilograms and move them to different locations. While this design might sound simple, Stretch must be able to pick up boxes of varying sizes and move its arm in multiple directions. Boston Dynamics hopes its new device will help alleviate the current labor shortage and improve working conditions in the shipping industry.
