Shopping addicts don't know how to quit.
Have you ever heard someone joke about “retail therapy?” Do you have a shopaholic friend in your life? Many people enjoy shopping. When they feel sad, they might go to buy some new things as a way to lift their spirits. However, when a shopper loses control of their habits, we call it shopping addiction.
There are a few clear signs that can indicate if someone has become addicted to shopping. One of these signs may be when someone is always spending money on unnecessary items. Shopping addicts often experience a rush of positive feelings when they buy something. Yet, they may begin to regret it after a few hours or days. If someone only goes shopping when they are feeling stressed or sad, it suggests that they are using the activity to change their emotional state.
