作者簡介：

賴世雄教授
學歷：美國明尼蘇達大學英語教學、大眾傳播碩士、美國明尼蘇達大學大眾傳播研究所博士班
簡歷：
一、曾任臺灣多所大學英文教授及國防語文中心專任教官。
二、從事專任口譯、筆譯多年，並任國家重要慶典活動同步口譯。
三、擔任高雄電台、ICRT、IC 之音、NEWS 98、飛碟、漢聲、中廣、警廣、復興、環宇……等廣播電臺英語教學節目主播。
四、曾任美加文教機構托福講師18 年，也是臺灣托福成績最高分紀錄保持人之一。

作者自序：

　　在我四十多年的英文教育工作經驗裡，常看到許多讀者英文未能學到通透，無論在口語表達、寫作、實務運用等方面，犯錯而不自知；導致在升大學、留學、各類檢定考試與求職，無法達成目標，個人甚感可惜。
    本書蒐集在英文寫作與運用上常犯的錯誤或易混淆字詞，分別列出正確及錯誤用法並解釋這些字詞巧妙的差異；另輔以適當的例句、插圖，再搭配練習題，希望藉由這樣的方法，幫助讀者理解正確用法關鍵之處，避免再犯同樣錯誤，進而大大提升英文實力。
