1. deal with / deal in
a. deal with... 處理⋯⋯
= cope with...
= handle...例: Thank you for teaching me how to deal with that problem.
（感謝你教導我如何處理那個問題。）b. deal in... 從事⋯⋯的買賣
= buy and sell...例: John's father deals in used cars.
（約翰的父親從事中古車的買賣。）
2. happen / occur / take place
a. 表『發生』時可使用 happen、occur、take place、come about。
| 例: A car accident | happened occurred took place came about |
this morning. |
（今天早上發生了一起車禍。）
b. 表『舉行』時使用 take place。
| 例: The meeting | took place was held |
at 10 this morning. |
（會議是在今天早上十點舉行的。）
c. 表『突然想起』使用 occur，採下列結構：
It occurred to sb that... 某人突然想起⋯⋯
例: It just occurred to me that it's my birthday today.
= It struck me that it's my birthday today.
= I suddenly remembered that it's my birthday today.
（我突然想起今天是我生日。）
d. 表『正巧』時使用 happen。
例: I happen to have $200 with me.
（我正巧身邊有兩百元。）
