If two optional art courses, Photography and Sculpting, were to be offered by my high school, I would definitely opt for the former. I’ve had a great passion for photography since junior high school, which can be mostly attributed to my uncle Jack. As a professional photographer, he captures not only the beauty of nature but the atmosphere and emotions of precious moments as well. He shows me his works from time to time, and I think it was some of those pictures that inspired me.
In a photography course, I would hope to learn how to tell stories through my photos. Actually, I want to become a successful journalist in the future. To achieve this goal, I believe the ability to capture impactful images will be helpful. After all, a good photograph can not only reflect reality but also draw readers’ attention and make them feel compelled to read the article. Once I have acquired such photography skills, I will be one step closer to my dream.
