In particular, we’re interested in the history of the hair comb.
According to anthropologists, the use of combs dates back all the way to the Stone Age. At this time, combs were made of wood, ivory, or even fish bones. When humans invented metalworking around 5000 BCE or so, people began manufacturing combs that were made of materials such as horn, onyx, and ebony.
