        Stress, anxiety, boredom, and sadness are emotions that everyone experiences. Some people handle them by throwing themselves into work or hitting the gym. Others may crave certain foods and keep eating until they feel stuffed, a condition known as emotional eating.

        However, __1__ food to deal with negative emotions can have adverse consequences on people’s mental and physical health. What usually happens is that, the more people eat, the guiltier they feel, and then they end up with more negative emotions plus another, perhaps more serious, problem: overeating. Such an unhealthy cycle only results in weight gain and increases the risk of __2__ health conditions. Therefore, what should be done is learn how to detect emotional eating, and at the same time figure out the cause of bad moods and find the best antidote.
