S: Scottie Natasha is talking to Scottie about his accident on the basketball court. N: Hey, be careful moving around like that. I think you might have broken a bone in your ankle. S: I guess I landed wrong on my foot while playing basketball. It doesn’t look too bad, does it? Do we have a first-aid kit? N: A first-aid kit isn’t enough, Scottie. Band-aids and some tape aren’t going to help you here. We’re going to have to get an ambulance and take you to the emergency room. S: That’s what I was afraid of. Do you think I can still play in the game next week? N: Your ankle looks really bad. You might be using a walker, crutches, a cane, or be in a wheelchair for a while. S: This is horrible. I hate the hospital. I’m terribly afraid of needles, scalpels, and syringes. People wearing rubber gloves freak me out. I get so disgusted looking at bags of blood. What do doctors look at under microscopes? It can’t be pretty. N: You have to go or you’ll never get better. S: Let me try to walk it off. Ahhhhh! Ohhhhh! OK. You’re right. Call the ambulance. N: I told you to be careful. S: Can you call my girlfriend and tell her to bring me my glasses, a toothbrush, and a few surgical masks? Seems like I might need to stay in the hospital for a while. N: I’ll do that right now.
