A unique world packed with magic and adventure
Fans of fantasy should not miss Shadow and Bone. It is part of a trilogy that is full of adventure,mystery , and magic and was recently adapted into a TV show on Netflix. Published in 2012, Shadow and Bone is the first book in the series written by Leigh Bardugo.
In her stories, Bardugo creates a fantasy world called the Grishaverse, where people who use magic are called Grisha. Her first book of the trilogy follows a character named Alina. She begins her journey as a simple map-maker in the army of Ravka, a kingdom that is based on Russia in the 1800s. However, one big difference is that Ravka has a huge piece of land that is covered in darkness and full of monsters. This dark land is known as the Fold.
