1. 新聞媒體和大眾對於宇宙銀行的財務困境都不知情。

a. 本題測試下列固定用法：

neither... nor...　 既非⋯⋯亦非⋯⋯
1) 必須連接對等的單字、片語或子句。
• You can neither drink nor eat here.
你不可以在這裡喝飲料，也不可以吃東西。
• Jack is neither clever nor hardworking.
傑克既不聰明又不努力。
• I can stand neither the scorching heat of the summer nor the severe cold of the winter.
我既受不了夏天的炎熱也無法忍受冬天的酷寒。
• It is neither because he is rich nor because he is good-looking that Lynn wants to marry Ian.
琳恩想嫁給伊恩的原因既不是因為他有錢，也不是因為他長得帥。
2) 連接兩個主詞時，動詞須按最近的主詞做單複數變化。
• Neither we nor Albert is to blame for the mistake.
我們和艾伯特都不該為這個錯誤負責。

b. 由句首的否定副詞 Neither 得知，空格應置入 nor 以連接 the media（新聞媒體）及 the public （ 大眾）兩個主詞，故 (B) 項應為正選。
