With the subscription business model having so many benefits, it’s no surprise that many companies have turned to it in recent years. One particular company that stands out from others is the US-based recycling business Ridwell, a company working to recycle items that are difficult to dispose of.
Ridwell was founded by a father and son in Seattle, Washington, after they struggled to find a place to safely dispose of old batteries. They realized that many of their neighbors probably struggled with the same issue. So when they finally found a proper location, they offered to collect everyone’s old batteries and drop them off at the recycling center. The response they got was overwhelmingly positive, so the pair decided to collect other difficult-to-recycle items from their neighbors. Eventually, their service grew into Ridwell.
