The concept of a car flying in the sky is no longer a dream! A Slovakian engineer and businessman, Stefan Klein, has recently completed a successful test flight of his own flying car. His company, Klein Vision, showed off what the AirCar was capable of in early 2021. Klein took off from an airfield in the city of Nitra and landed 35 minutes later at an airport in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. After the test flight, Klein went for a ride in the vehicle through the city streets like it was a regular automobile.
The AirCar is equipped with retractable wings, which can be stretched out or pulled back in a process that only takes three minutes. When in flight, the AirCar can reach a cruising speed of 190 km per hour. It is powered by a 160 horsepower BMW engine and has more than 40 hours of successful flight time. Although flying cars may not be available to the public for many years to come, it is clear that flying cars are no longer the stuff of science fiction.
