   In the last decade, computer technology has become widely available and has rapidly made life more convenient. Nearly everyone keeps their smartphone close by at all times. This comes with many benefits. For example, you can keep in touch with friends easily and access maps, news, and facts anytime and anywhere. However, there are also some negative aspects. Digital devices and social media platforms are so addictive that many people struggle to control how much time they spend using them. If you’re one of the addicts, it’s time you went for a digital detox.

   A digital detox is a new practice in the information age to help people stay away from technology for a period of time. It can be different for every person. Some people like to go into nature and leave their phones at home. Others prefer to set strict limits on how and when they use technology. The purpose is just to be mindful of how much time we spend looking at screens.

   Doing a digital detox can be very helpful. Most people report that they get better sleep when they aren’t exposed to the bright light of the phone screen. Many also find that they feel happier when they aren’t comparing themselves to others on social media. And of course, if you can put away your phone for a while, you’ll have a lot more time for other things.
