　　When you think of bodybuilding, you might picture Arnold Schwarzenegger posing or showing off his huge muscles. Did you know that bodybuilding has a much longer history than commonly thought? People have been trying to build strong, muscular bodies for thousands of years. In ancient Greece, men lifted heavy stones to get stronger. In the 19th century, strongmen began to appear on stage in circus shows. They amazed crowds by lifting heavy weights or bending iron bars.
