        Last Sunday morning, as I was on my way home from the park where I had just gone jogging, I saw a house on fire. The fire was fierce and the whole building was obscured by thick gray smoke. Firefighters were already on site. Some went in to search for victims while others prepared to fight the blaze. A few minutes later, a firefighter came out from the burning building carrying a little boy. Firefighters then started to spray the flames with water in an attempt to contain the fire.

        Later that day, news reports stated that the fire had been caused by the child's father. He had forgotten to turn off the gas stove before going out to buy some groceries. Thanks to the firefighters' efforts, the fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes. And although a large part of the kitchen was damaged, the little boy had luckily been saved just in time. According to a paramedic, the child did not sustain any serious injuries, and

had only suffered some mild smoke inhalation.
