The good news is that even though we may feel like an impostor sometimes, we don’t have to feel that way forever. There are some things we can do to see ourselves more positively. Here are a few tips to cope with this syndrome.
1.Monitoryour thoughts:
Pay attention to when you start having negative thoughts about your abilities. Then ask yourself: “Are these thoughts helping me or not?”
2.Seek support from others:
Anyone can learn to believe in themselves, but we may need support at times. It is suggested that we talk to someone we trust, such as family and friends, when we doubt our abilities.
3.willing tolearn:
It can also be helpful to remember that we can practice and improve those skills which we don’t think are good enough. Further, it is not wrong or stupid to ask for help if we need it. We can learn a lot from the knowledge and example of others.
4.Remember that no one is perfect:
Even with practice, we may sometimes still feel like an impostor, and that is OK. Everyone will have bad days and encounter obstacles. That doesn’t make us worse or less intelligent than other people. Once we understand that, we will be on the road to building confidence in ourselves and our own unique abilities.
