For more than 50 years, “Doraemon” has held a special place in the hearts of many people, regardless of age or sex. This world-famous catshaped robot created by Fujiko‧F‧Fujio has gone beyond borders and inspired dreams around the world. The Doraemon Exhibition began in Tokyo and toured more than 10 cities in Japan. It made its way to Taipei on December 16, 2023 and is set to run until April 7, 2024.
The exhibition invited 28 groups of famous Japanese contemporary artists, including Takashi Murakami, Yoshitomo Nara, Ninagawa Mika, and more, to create art based on the theme of “Create Your Own Original Doraemon.” Each artist combined their own creative style with their imagination of Doraemon to create one-ofa- kind artworks that feature Doraemon and other characters in the manga series. These works of art are currently on display in the exhibition.
