實用會話 Dialogue 

 A  Good morning, Pam. Why are you going to work wearing bike shorts?
 B  I’ve decided to cycle to work instead of driving, lest I be stuck in traffic again.
 A  Yeah, the traffic jams are getting beyond a joke. There’ s so much congestion. You should have done this a long time ago.
 B  I know. It’s also good for my health.
 A  Not to mention it’s good for the environment. I should have done it, too.
 B  How about we start cycling to work together, then?
 A  Well, I’m not a very fast cyclist. I think I’d have to set off at 5 a.m. lest I be late every morning!
 B  Don’ t worry; it just takes a bit of practice. Come out with me in the evenings and you’ ll build up your speed in no time.
 A  Thanks, Pam. I may take you up on that offer!

 

 A  潘姆，早安。為什麼妳穿著自行車短褲去上班？
 B  我決定要騎自行車而非開車去上班，免得我又被困在車陣中。
 A  是呀，交通堵塞真的很惱人。太多堵車的情況了。妳老早就該這麼做了。
 B  我知道。這也有益於我的健康。
 A  更不用說這對環境良好。我也早該這麼做。
 B  那麼我們開始一起騎自行車上班怎麼樣呢？
 A  喔，我自行車騎得不快。我想我得要清晨五點出發，免得我每天早上都遲到！
 B  別擔心；只要練習一下就好。傍晚的時候和我一起出去，你馬上就可以騎得很快了。
