 A  I’m not happy with you, son.
 B  Why, Mom?
 A  Your teacher called me today. She said you’ ve been fighting with a younger boy.
 B  But he started it!
 A  Despite the fact that he started it, you shouldn’t fight. He’s younger and smaller than you. Don’t be a bully.
 B  I’m sorry, Mom.
 A  What was the fight about?
 B  He was calling Emma nasty names. When I told him to stop, he hit me.
 A  So, you were protecting Emma? Did you tell your teacher about this?
 B  I didn’t want to be a tattletale.
 A  In spite of the fact that you didn’t want to tattle, you should always tell the truth to your teacher.
 B  OK, Mom.

 

 A  兒子，我對你很不高興。
 B  為什麼，媽媽？
 A  今天你的老師打電話給我。她說你與一個年紀比你小的男孩打架。
 B  可是他先動手的！
 A  儘管他先動手，你不應該打架。他年紀比你小，身材也比你嬌小。別當惡霸。
 B  對不起，媽媽。
 A  打架的原因是什麼？
 B  他罵艾瑪一些難聽的話。我叫他停止的時候，他打了我。
