2) 強調用法:反身代名詞可置主詞、受詞或補語之後,亦可置句尾,有強調的作用,表示「(某人) 本身 / 親自」。在此用法下,反身代名詞為所修飾的名詞、代名詞的同位語。
3) 表示某人獨自或獨力進行某事:反身代名詞常與介詞 by 並用,形成 by oneself 的慣用語,有兩種意思:① 表示單獨、某人獨自一人,意思與 alone(單獨地) 相近。② 表示某人獨力進行某事。
