A: How are you holding up over there?
R: It’s been a long day. I might be stuck here until quite late.
A: Oh, no. It sounds like you´re buried up to your neck with that project.
R: Yeah, it’s taking longer than I thought it would.
A: Why? I thought there were only a few changes to make.
R: Mike is being really picky about every detail. He has me making change after change.
A: That’s a pain in the neck. It sounds like he wants total perfection.
R: He’s not usually such a perfectionist, but he’s being really particular about this project.
A: How so?
R: He wants these pages to be green, but these pages to be blue. The font needs to be bigger in some sections and smaller in others. And don’t get me started on the tables and figures. I’m losing my mind over this!
A: I never thought Mike would be so focused on small details.
R: He is picking at every little thing. The problem is that he is not clear about his expectations and is just giving me an endless laundry list of changes.
A: You should sit down and have a proper discussion with him. Otherwise, you’ll just be running around in circles on this.
R: That’s true. I’ll talk to him about it.
A: I hope it all works out! You will be long due for a vacation after you get this done.
