 A  Are you ready for the midterm exam today?
 B  Not at all.
 A  Me, neither.
 B  Let's study together. We still have time!
 A  Not really... The test starts in five minutes!

 A  今天的期中考試你準備好了嗎？
 B  根本沒有。
 A  我也沒有。
 B  咱們一起讀書吧。我們還有些時間！
 A  不盡然……。考試五分鐘後開始！

 

單字片語 Vocabulary and Phrases

 1  ready   a. 準備好的 
     be ready / prepared for...      為……準備好
     be ready / prepared to V      準備好從事……
     We’re ready for the test.
     我們已準備好要考試。
     I’m ready to meet the challenge.
     我已準備好接受挑戰。

 2  midterm   a. 期中的 & n. 期中考試
     final         a. 期末的 & n. 期末考試

     take an exam       參加考試

 5  in + 一段時間           若干時間之後
 =  一段時間 + later
     Audrey told me that she would be back in an hour.
 = Audrey told me that she would be back an hour later.
     奧黛莉告訴我她一小時後就會回來。

口語技能 Speaking Skills

 1  “Not at all.” 的用法

“Not at all.”（一點也不。） 用於否定語氣中，特別是當說話者想要加強否定語氣時。其中片語 at all 表 「根本，絲毫，一點」。
