While frequent fliers don’t usually pay much attention to the color of the airplanes they board, airline companies certainly do. The next time you’re at an airport, take a moment to observe how many aircraft are painted white. You will probably be surprised by the prevalence of this color choice.
__1__ The identification number of the plane, the company name, and perhaps a few decorative streaks or lines come in bright colors or black. However, the base paint, the coat of paint that first covers the entire paintable parts of the plane, is almost always white.
