There is nothing wrong with being a hard worker. However, nonstop pressure and responsibilities at work can lead to stress. When a person can’t find ways to relievethat stress, it can cause mental health problems. For this reason, more and more companies are recognizingthe importance of something called “mental health leave.”
It’s common throughout the world for workers to take sick leave when they are physically ill. The conceptof mental health leave is relatively new, but it is catching on. As more companies begin to value the happiness of their employees, more people are promoting the idea that everyone should be given time to focus on themselves and their mental health.
During the COVID-19 pandemic , many workers reported very high levels of anxiety. In response, some companies gave their workers time off to allow them to rest and recover from the stress caused by working during the pandemic. Many companies now make mental health leave part of sick leave. They hope to encourage their workers to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
