A team of international scientists has drafted a message that they want to beam towards the center of our galaxy , the Milky Way . Called the Beaconin the Galaxy, the message will include simple math and physics equations,information about humans, and illustrations of the human body, as well as the location of Earth within the galaxy.
The researchers understand that concepts like mathematics, as explained by humans, wouldbe unrecognizable to extraterrestriallife. So, they plan to relay their message using a simple binarycode of ones and zeros, similar to what most computingsystems use here on Earth. Giant telescopesin either California or China would beused to broadcast the message up into the sky.
