The Lunar New Year was just around the corner. So, Bella’s mom prepared two red envelopes for her and her brother. To Bella’s disappointment, she found out that she received less money than her brother did. Feeling this was unfair, she came up with a plan.
Late at night, Bella snuck into her brother’s room while he was sound asleep. She reached for the red envelope on the side table, took the money, and creptout the door with joy. Little did she know that someone had seen her leaving the room.
The next day, Bella’s brother found someone had stolen his money. He went to his mom with tears in his eyes and told her about the situation. Afterwards, Bella’s mother asked her whether she was the one who did it because she had seen Bella leaving her brother’s room. Feeling guilty, Bella apologized to her brother and returned the money. Later that night, Bella’s mother secretly went into her room and slid money in her red envelope as an apology for not giving her the same amount of money as her brother for the Lunar New Year.
