Dreams are something people experience on a regular basis. Most people dream three to five times each night, with each dream lasting from 15 to 40 minutes. Ancient writing shows us that people have been dreaming for thousands of years. Still, science does not have clear answers to the questions of why and how we dream.

One of the most common dreams involves teeth falling out of one’s mouth. People around the world have this dream, and written records show that it has been around for a long time. It is most common in Western countries like the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia.
Another image that often appears in dreams is the snake. Snake dreams are common not only in places where snakes are a real danger, but also in countries where there is only one species of venomoussnake, such as Finland. Other common dreams around the world are related to babies, death, money, and animals.
