 B  It would be nice to dine out, but we don’t have much money.
 A  We have a few eggs, mushrooms, and vegetables. Shall I make an omelet and salad?
 B  That sounds great! I love your omelets!
 A  And I love you!

 A  親愛的，我們今天晚上去外面吃吧。冰箱裡只剩一點食物了。
 B  去外面吃是很好，不過我們沒什麼錢。
 A  我們有一些雞蛋、蘑菇和蔬菜。我來做個歐姆蛋和生菜沙拉如何？
 B  聽起來很不錯！我愛吃你做的歐姆蛋！

助動詞 shall 的用法

助動詞 shall 有下列幾種用法：

 a   徵求對方意見時：
Shall I...?　　要不要我……？

Shall I turn on the air conditioner?
= Would you like me to turn on the air conditioner?
要不要我開冷氣呢 / 你想要我開冷氣嗎？

 

 b   徵求對方意見時：
Shall we...?　　我們……，好嗎？

Shall we leave for the airport now?
= Let’s leave for the airport now, shall we?
我們現在就出發前往機場，好嗎？

 c   命令對方時：
You shall...　　你必須……

You must...
You shall complete the task before receiving the payment.
你必須在收到款項前完成該任務。

 

 d   向對方保證遵守某承諾時：

You shall...　　你一定會……

You shall receive the payment within a week.
我保證你將在一週內收到款項。
