13 表達讓步或補償:
make a concession 讓步(常用於指代單方面做出的讓步)
make a compromise 妥協(常用於形容雙方達成協議時彼此做出讓步或妥協)
make amends / make peace 賠償、彌補、補救、和解、息事寧人
- In order to secure the contract, the company had to make a concession by offering a lower price. (為了獲得合同,公司不得不提供更低的價格,做出了一個讓步。)
- Sometimes you have to make a compromise in order to maintain a relationship. (有時為了維持關係,你得做出讓步。)
