Nobel Prizes Announced for 2022
The Nobel Prizes for 2022 have been announced. They have been given to the people who have contributed to mankind in their specific fields last year.
Economics: American economists Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond, and Phillip H. Dybvig were awarded Nobel Prizes in Economics for their research on banks.
Peace: The Peace Prize is shared by Belarus activist Ales Bialiatski, the Russian human rights group Memorial, and Center for Civil Liberties, a Ukrainian organization.
Literature: The Literature Prize was awarded to 82-year-old French writer Annie Ernaux, who is known for books that blend fiction and autobiography.
Chemistry: The Chemistry Prize goes to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, K. Barry Sharpless, and Morten Meldal for their work on click chemistry.
Physics: The winners of the Physics Prize were Frenchman Alain Aspect, American John F. Clauser, and Austrian Anton Zeilinger for their discoveries in the field of quantum mechanics.
Medicine: The Medicine Prize was given to Swedish geneticist Svante Pääbo for discoveries about early humans.
