　　Bungee jumping is an amazing experience that is on many people’s bucket lists. It involves jumping from a tall structure while attached to a long elastic cord. There are few activities more thrilling. However, many people attempt to do it, but end up getting cold feet at the top. It is, therefore, necessary that you think about all aspects carefully.

 　　It is essential that bungee jumping equipment be thoroughly checked before you jump. If you choose a reputable company, the safety record is likely to be very high. Once you’re up there, the key to bungee jumping is to not look down before you jump. It’s also important that you not think too much about jumping. Just go for it; you won’t regret it!

　　高空彈跳是個驚奇的體驗，許多人的願望清單上也都有這項活動。高空彈跳是從一個高聳的建築物往下跳，同時會繫上一條既長又有彈性的繩索。很少有比這個更刺激驚險的活動。然而，大部分的人想嘗試玩高空彈跳，最後卻以在高空上怯步收場。因此，仔細地做各方面的考慮是必要的。
　　在你跳下去之前，徹底檢查高空彈跳的設備是絕對必要的。如果你選擇一間值得信賴的公司，他的安全紀錄應該相當良好。一旦你到了跳臺，玩高空彈跳的關鍵在於跳的時候不要往下看。不要想太多關於跳躍的事也很重要。只要放膽一試；你不會後悔的！

 

實用詞句 Useful Expressions

 1  necessary、essential 和 important 等形容詞與其修飾的 that 子句的關係

某些形容詞，其後接 that 子句時，該子句須使用助動詞 should，而 should 通常予以省略，形成下列固定句構：
     It is + 形容詞 + that + 主詞 (+ should) + 動詞原形

這類形容詞常見有下列八個：
     It is + 形容詞 + that + 主詞 (+ should) + 動詞原形

necessary  a. 必要的，必需的
essential  a. 必要的，不可或缺的
important  a. 重要的
imperative  a. 極重要的；緊急的
urgent  a. 緊急的，急迫的
desirable  a. 理想的
recommendable  a. 值得推薦的
advisable a. 明智的

It is imperative that everyone (should) follow the guidelines in the manual.
每個人都必須遵照手冊的指導方針，這很重要。

It is urgent that we (should) deal with the problem.
我們迫切需要儘快處理這個問題。

It is advisable that you (should) not carry too much cash with you when traveling in foreign countries.
到國外旅行時，建議你身上不要帶太多現金。

 

 2  常與介詞 to 搭配的名詞

以下名詞常與介詞 to 並用，to 在此可表「針對」：

key [ ki ] n. 關鍵
answer [ `AnsK ] n. 解答，答案
