draw a blank
此處的 draw 表「抽(籤/獎)」,blank 表「空白」,draw a blank 意思就是「抽到空白籤」。 英國古時候的樂透是以抽籤的方式進行,抽到空白籤或空 白彩券就表示沒中獎。draw a blank 後來便引申為「希望 落空」、「找不到某物」或「想不起某事、腦中一片空白」。
