Several hours later, Sophia gets another call from the head office.
S: Well, that was the marketingoffice. There’s more bad news.
T: Uh oh, what’s the word?
S: All of the Big Boss speakerproducts have been recalled, including headphones and Bluetooth speakers.
T: Really? But the Bluetooth speakers have been selling like crazy this past week!
S: Yeah, tomorrow is probably going to be a busy day handling refunds and exchanges.
T: So, what should we do today?
S: Well, first we need to box up all the display items. Then, we need to ship all of our stockback to the factory. I’ll arrange for the delivery truck.
T: Did the office say what was wrong with them?
S: Apparently, there is a problem with the circuitry. Some speakers have reportedly exploded in high temperature environments.
T: You’re kidding, right? Has anyone been hurt?
S: The marketing representative didn’t say. However, I have a bad feeling that we’ll hear some news reports about the issue in the near future.
T: Wow, this could really hurt business.
S: Yeah, I hope the losses don’t set the company back too much. Otherwise, stores like ours may not be around for much longer.
