        Puffins live in many countries, including the US, Canada, Russia, and Japan. However, the best place to see large puffin colonies is Iceland. The nation is home to about 10 million Atlantic puffins, which is over 60% of the world’s puffin population.

        Although puffin tours are available all year, the best time to spot them is between May and July. There are several places in Iceland where you can observe them. Iceland’s largest puffin colony is located in the Westman Islands, with over a million birds living there. Iceland’s capital, Reykjavík, offers boat tours to watch puffins by the sea. Others prefer hiking up the Látrabjarg Cliffs to observe puffins on land.
