        You haven’t eaten in a few hours and can feel your stomach rumbling, and then someone says something that bothers you. Rather than replying to them normally, you suddenly _(1)_ and snap at them. This is most likely a combination of hunger and anger, which leads you to be “hangry.”

        Hunger alone cannot make us hangry. Instead, there needs to be a negative situation to put us in a bad mood that _(2)_ the hanger. This could be something as simple as a waiter keeping you waiting too long at a restaurant. Or it could be something as serious as adding sugar to a soup instead of salt. _(3)_ one of these things happens, we become upset and get hangry.
