美食饗宴
Karaage is such an important part of Japanese cuisine that there is even an annual fried chicken competition called the Karaage Grand Prix. It determines who makes the best karaage in the country. In previous years, locals voted to decide the winner. However, starting from this year, official tasters are also included to decide who wins the top prize.
The judges make their decision based on the color, flavor, temperature, and juiciness of each karaage. They also consider the price value and harmony of all the ingredients. To this day, Nakatsu remains at the center of the karaage world, and many of its karaage shops have claimed the grand prize throughout the years.
