Steven and Lucy are talking about some suitable places for cherry blossom viewing.
S: Steven L: Lucy
S: Hey, Lucy! I heard you just went to see cherry blossoms over the weekend. Where did you go?
L: Hi, Steven. I went to Lala Mountain in Taoyuan. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. The whole place was so beautiful.
S: That's wonderful. I've always wanted to see cherry blossoms in person. Any recommendations for places to go here in Taiwan?
L: You should consider visiting Yangmingshan National Park, which is really close to Taipei. There are other good spots in Taiwan as well, like Alishan and Sun Moon Lake.
S: Sounds great. I've heard that Japan is famous for cherry blossoms, too.
L: That's true. But cherry blossoms in Japan typically reach their peak season at a later time than those in Taiwan, usually in late March or the beginning of April. You can enjoy amazing views, especially around Mount Fuji and Kyoto.
S: I've always wondered why so many people fly all the way there to admire the flowers.
L: Cherry blossoms have a special place in Japanese culture, so it's not just about the flowers; it's a whole cultural experience.
S: Thanks for the recommendations. I'll definitely check out the places you mentioned in Taiwan.
L: I'm sure you'll have an incredible time. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the view.
