這類電子郵件的目的是要員工想出新的促銷點子，因此內容重點在於:
1. 目前促銷的標準作法(standard methods)。
2. 在特殊情況(at some point)下的作法。

老式慣用語會讓讀者有不好的印象，甚至造成困惑。例如我們會使用"Please remember..." (請記得....)而不會用 "Please be reminded..."(在此提醒您...)，一封好的信件需要的是精確的訊息，而不是過多的修飾語。
一個很長且不分段的訊息會造成閱讀上的困惑。記得用空白來區隔各段落，這樣不但可以讓讀者容易閱讀，也能讓讀者對寄信者有個好印象。
