攻略
a. 本句測試表「花費」的動詞 take、spend 及 cost 的用法：(A) take 可用虛詞 it 或「事物」作主詞，與表「 時間」的名詞並用，句構如下：
It + takes + sb + 一段時間 + to V 從事某事花費某人若干時間
= sth + takes + sb + 一段時間 + to V
• For the most part, it takes people quite a few years to master a foreign language.
= For the most part, a foreign language takes people quite a few years to master.
大體而言，要精通一種外語得花好幾年時間。(B) spend 須以「人」作主詞，用於下列句構中：
sb + spends + 時間／金錢 + V-ing / on sth 某人花費（時間／金錢）做⋯⋯／在⋯⋯上
• Rita spends a lot of money buying new clothes every month.
麗塔每個月都會花很多錢買新衣服。(C) cost 須與表「金錢」的名詞並用，用於下列句構中：
sth + costs (+ sb) + 金錢 + to V 某物花（某人）若干錢
= it + costs (+ sb) + 金錢 + to V
• The giant building costs lots of money to maintain.
= It costs lots of money to maintain the giant building.
要維修這棟龐大的建築物會耗費大量金錢。(D) get 表「到達；得到」，不符合語意，故不選。
b. 原句空格前有虛主詞 It，空格後為表一段時間的名詞 two weeks（兩個星期）以及引導不定詞片語的 to，根據上述，得知空格內應置 take，故 (A) 項應為正選。
