《補充說明》
一般介系詞之後接 n. 或 V-ing，但 do / did nothing except / but + V，表『除⋯⋯之外，什麼也沒做』。
- How / What about having lunch together?
= How / What about we have lunch together?（現代口語）
（我們一塊吃午餐如何？） - Far from reading the letter, she tore it into pieces.
（非但沒有讀，她把那封信撕碎了。） - The result is far from (being) satisfactory.（接 adj. 時 being 可省）
（這結果一點也不令人滿意。） - A good book is worth reading many times.
（好書值得多看幾回。） - I used to worry about her coming home late, but now I'm past caring.
（我曾經擔心她晚回家，但現在已不在乎了。）
