 A  Have you finished the report yet, Patricia?
 B  Not yet, Mike. It’ll be finished today, which was the agreed deadline.
 A  Please pick up the pace, though. It’s urgent.
 B  I know. I had to do some research in the library, which is on the other side of the city. And I got stuck in a traffic jam, which held me up on my way back to the office. Cut me some slack, please.
 A  I understand. I’m just nervous about the deal. Our visitors, who arrive tomorrow, will be expecting professionalism and perfection.
 B  And they’ll get it. Just give me a couple more hours.
 

 

 A  派翠莎，妳完成報告了嗎？
 B  還沒，麥克。報告會在今天完成，這是說好的期限。
 A  但請加快速度。這很緊急。
 B  我知道。我必須去圖書館做一些研究，圖書館在本市的另外一邊。而且我被堵在車陣中，這使我在回辦公室的路上耽誤了。請不要刁難我。
