 A  I don’t believe it. My car won’t start.
 B  What’s the problem?
 A  The battery is dead. I think I left my headlights on overnight. I’m supposed to be taking my mom to the hospital this morning.
 B  Don’t worry. I’ll take her. I’ll just inform the office that I’ll be late for work today.
 A  Thank you. You’re a lifesaver. But for you, I wouldn’t know what I should do.
 B  Don’t mention it. It’s nothing serious with your mom, I hope?
 A  Not really. She sprained her ankle while dancing last night, so she just needs to get it checked out. But for this injury, she would be in perfect health.
 B  I hope I’m as fit as your mom when I’m 80!

 

 A  太難以置信了。我的車發動不了。
 B  怎麼了？
 A  電池沒電了。我猜想車頭燈整晚都開著。我今天早上應該要帶我媽媽去醫院的。
 B  別擔心。我會帶她去。我只需要告訴公司我今天上班會晚到。
 A  謝謝。你真是救星。要不是你，我不知道我該怎麼辦。
 B  別客氣。妳媽媽沒生什麼嚴重的病，是嗎？
 A  還好。她昨晚去跳舞的時候扭傷腳踝，所以她只需要去檢查一下。若非這個傷，她會非常健康。
 B  我希望我八十歲的時候跟妳媽媽一樣健朗！
