臺灣年度電影盛會:台北電影節 What’s Hot Taipei Film Festival

台北電影節播映來自世界各地逾三十個國家的電影，吸引廣大的觀眾。這是亞洲最盛大也最具影響力的電影節之一。

        Every year, the Taipei Film Festival screens over 100 films from more than 30 countries worldwide,attracting a large audience . It is one of the biggest and most influential film festivals in Asia. The aim of the festival is to support the creation of Taiwanese films, highlight independent films created by up- and-coming international filmmakers, broaden cinematic vision, and promote film education.

        The competitions are divided into two categories: The International New Talent Competition,which focuses on internationally-based films and filmmakers, and the Taipei Film Awards, which is exclusively for Taiwanese filmmakers. A Grand Prize award of NT$1,000,000 will be offered to the winner of the Taiwanese film category. Each of the films featured in the festival will have an opportunity to win several other subcategories, such as Best Narrative Feature and Best Short Film. Individual acting and technical roles also have a chance to win their own awards.

        This year, the Taipei Film Festival will be taking place from June 23 until July 9. It will be held at three different venues across Taipei: Huashan Spot Theater, Vieshow Cinemas Taipei Xinyi, and Zhongshan Hall.
