Ukraine Journalists Win Pulitzer Prize for Reporting Truthful News

The Pulitzer prize board3 awarded Ukraine journalists Pulitzer prizes for their courage and commitment to reporting the truth during the Russian invasion5 of their country. The Pulitzer board wrote that despite being fired upon, kidnapped6, and suffering losses in their ranks7, these journalists have continued to provide an accurate picture of the terrible reality of the war. They said that by remaining true to their mission8, these journalists were honoring Ukraine and journalists around the world.
Currently, at least seven journalists, including three from Ukraine, have been killed since the start of the war on February 24. They had been covering9 the progress of the war to bring the news to the public. The awarding of the Pulitzer prize honors Ukrainian journalists’ heroism10 and dedication11 to spreading the truth about the war in Ukraine.
