汽車「加油」，絕對不是說 add oil。汽車「加油」的英文常用說法有以下幾種：

英文裡其實有不少讓人直翻會容易誤會的用語，中翻英亦同。有些用詞並非直接一字不漏地翻成英文就能表達完整的意思。
有些用詞要是直接翻譯真的會出事啦~ 比方說到加油站「加油」，絕對不會說 "add oil"，這樣可就尷尬了!帶你認識幾個汽車上路時會使用到的實用英文句子，一起來學學吧!
情境一 : 加油站汽車「加油」，絕對不是說
add oil啦~。
在汽車上，「加油」是指加入汽油或柴油來補充車輛的燃料，因此汽車加油的英文常用說法有以下幾種：
e.g. Our car is running low on gas, we need to refuel soon.（車子的油快用完了，我們需要盡快加油。）
e.g. We need to fill up the tank before we go on our road trip.（我們去公路旅行前需要加滿油箱。）
e.g. Let's gas up the car before we hit the highway.（我們在上高速公路前加油吧。）非正式口語用法，汽車的油箱通常是“her”來代指。在國外，汽車車主經常會回答 "Fill her up"，
意思是「請加滿油箱」，算是常見的口語用語。e.g. I was running low on gas, let's fill her up.（我的油快用完了，我們加滿油吧。）
實用例句
”refuel”通常用於描述給(機器、車輛或船)補充燃料，也就是我們指的「加油」。至於fuel作名詞使用時，是指「燃料」的意思。
”windscreen” 是指汽車或其他交通工具前方的玻璃屏障，主要用途是保護車內乘客免受風、雨、沙塵等因素的影響，不僅可以有效保護駕駛員，還具如夜間反光、自動除霧等功能。

阿肯 : 沒問題!情境二 : 汽車拋錨汽車拋錨 常見的英文說法就是 “break down ”，當然像是“conk out” (突然故障)也是可以用來描述汽車無法正常運作、無法啟動或是停止運作的情況。
實用例句
你可能會覺得”flat battery”是扁電池，但其實”flat”這裡是意指「沒有能量或力量」而"flat battery" 意指「車輛或其他設備的電池電量耗盡，無法正常運作」。
Ken: Yeah, especially after having such a blast in New York.
Simon : And no phone signal! What are we going to do?
Ken : We have no choice. We will have to walk back to that small town we passed a while back. There was a service station there.
Simon : Let’s hitchhike. Someone might give us a ride.
