介紹 leave 作不完全及物動詞的用法
※ leave 可作完全及物動詞或完全不及物動詞，表「離開」或「出發」。
• David and Tracy will leave the city tonight. The rest of us will leave tomorrow.
大衛和崔西今晚就會離開這座城市。我們其他人要明天才走。
• Linda couldn’t decide on when to leave for Tokyo.
琳達無法決定何時出發去東京。
※ leave 也可以作不完全及物動詞，表「使……維持∕處於某狀態」，加受詞後，須接受詞補語以形容受詞的狀態，受詞補語可以是現在分詞、過去分詞、形容詞或介詞片語（如本文用法），句型如下：
a. leave + 受詞 + 現在分詞（表主動概念或進行）
• My teacher’s advice left me thinking seriously about my future.
我老師的忠告讓我認真地考慮我的未來。
b. leave + 受詞 + 過去分詞（表被動概念或完成）
• Dave never leaves his job undone, which is why his boss trusts him so much.
戴夫從不把工作放著沒完成，而這也是為什麼他的老闆非常信任他。
c. leave + 受詞 + 形容詞
• It was irresponsible of Betty to leave her children alone near the swimming pool.
貝蒂把孩子們獨自留在泳池附近，是不負責任的。
d. leave + 受詞 + 介詞片語
• Too many restrictions will leave a child with little space for imagination and development.
過多限制會讓小孩想像空間和發展空間不足。
