It’s the story of my life.

當外國朋友在跟你聊天的對話中說出 “It’s the story of my life.” 時，千萬不要以為這只是 單純地表達「我人生的故事」喔。“It’s the story of my life.” 其實在中文裡是「我就是這 個命」的意思，也可以省略為 story of my life，暗諷不好的事情總是發生在自己的身上， 略帶嘲諷自己的意味喔。一起來看看以下的對話應用吧:

A:  I missed the bus this morning, and then I was chased by a dog. What a terrible day.

B:  That sounds bad.

A:  What’s more, I didn’t pass the English test because I didn’t understand thequestions. It’s the story of my life.

B:  Hey, cheer up. Something good is bound to happen next.

甲:我今天早上沒趕上公車，然後還被狗追了。多麼糟糕的一天啊。

乙:聽起來太慘了。

甲:還有，我英文考試考不及格，因為我看不懂題目。我就是這個命。

乙:嘿，振作起來。接下來一定會有好事發生的。
