這類電子郵件的目的是祝賀或是慰問對方。祝賀內容可以簡短、正式，也可以是口語而非正式的，視雙方關係和情況而定；
而慰問信一般而言，內容通常簡單誠懇，為了凸顯關心之意，可以用手寫的形式呈現，真誠地寫下想說的話語。

祝賀時可用 "I'm writing to express my congratulations on..."（我來信是要針 對……表達我的祝賀。）來開頭；
而慰問時則是可用 "I was very sorry to hear about..."（我很遺憾聽到關於……）來起頭。

該如何下筆呢? 可以參考以下:  祝賀:  1. 祝賀對方成功。 2. 對於對方的成功表示高興。  慰問:  1. 慰問對方的不幸。 2. 詢問對方是否有可幫忙之處，並表達樂意幫忙之意。

(我衷心祝賀你的婚姻幸福。)
