「10層樓的建築」英文會怎麼說呢?

Unit 44 10-story building 或 a 10-floor building？
「樓層」有 “floor”這個說法，一樓可以表示為 "first floor"，第二樓為 "second floor"，以此類推。
但若是想表達，這是一棟「10層樓的建築」，英文會用floor表示嗎?
a. story (英式英語採用 story)及 floor 均表樓層，story指大廈的總樓層，floor 指某人所居住或辦公的某一層樓。
例 This is a 6-floor building in front of us. I live on the 5th story of that building. (X)
→ This is a 6-story building in front of us. I live on the 5th floor of that building. (O)
( 我們前面有一棟 6 層大樓。我住在這棟大樓的第 5 層(樓)。)
b. story 在英式英語中表「故事」，複數要去掉字尾y，加上ies。
例 Peter is good at telling stories. (O) 彼得很會講故事。
"Story" 是用於描述建築物層級的通用詞彙，而 "floor" 通常指的是樓層的具體平面或地板。
在美式英文中，如果要表達建築物的樓層數量，通常使用 "story"。
答案: 15-story
